The Kingdom of Bahrain is hosting the 14th Middle East Corrosion Conference 2012 during the period 12-15 February 2012. Minister of Energy of the Kingdom His Excellency Dr. Abdul Hussain bin Ali Mirza said that, following the guidance of the wise leadership, to provide all facilities for all activities involving large numbers of interested people, specialists and stakeholders

The Kingdom is holding this event, which is considered to be one of the major exhibitions in the Middle East, for the 14^th time. The event provides a platform to exchange the expertise for people interested in combating the phenomenon of corrosion of metals in oil, gas, energy and other industries.

More than 70 companies from GCC, Asia, Europe, and North America are participating this year including an Indian company namely Ercon Composites.

Bahrain International Airshow, which was concluded recently, proved that Bahrain is entering strongly into the world of international exhibitions specially these related to the aviation industry and related industries which amounts of revenues over 600 billion dollar annually.

It also confirmed that Bahrain under the guidance of its wise leadership and the statesmanship of its resource management will be on a date with rivals in the industry of exhibitions specially aviation exhibitions in the near future which will prove the success of Bahrain to gain the confidence of business community because of its attractive investment infrastructure for international economic activities. It promises to convert the Kingdom into a forum for the region and the world. It is expected also that Bahrain will host during the current year the exhibition for metal corrosion which is considered to be one of the biggest exhibitions in the Middle East.

The Kingdom of Bahrain is working very hard to improve its aviation sector by improving its existing ports and building new ones in order to become a global hub for flights between the west and east. The Airshow has diverted the attention of people as a new destination for such activities.

It is worth mentioning that the exhibition hosted 37 companies including big companies like Airbus, Boeing, Bombardier, General Electric, Gulf Air, Lokheed Martin and Celiksz. Moreover, 35 countries, 45 delegations 7000 experts, 7000 media people and 60,000 visitors attended the exhibition.

And according to the top management of the Airshow, the trade deals signed reached 930 million dollar excluding the confidential military deals and 6 giant aviation companies confirmed its participation in the next exhibition.

तेहरान: ईरान ने अपने परमाणु कार्यक्रम को दुनिया के सामने रखने के बाद कुटनीतिक चाल चलते हुए बातचीत की पेशकश की है। बुधवार को ही ईरान ने अमेरिका समेत यूरोपियन यूनियन के देशों को तल्ख तेवर दिखाएं थे। अब उसनें बातचीत की पेशकश की है। ईरान के सबसे बड़े परमाणु वार्ताकार ने यूरोपियन यूनियन के की विदेश नीति के प्रमुख से कहा है कि तेहरान अपने परमाणु कार्यक्रम को लेकर ताकतवर देशों के साथ फिर से बातचीत शुरु करना चाहता है, लेकिन ज़्यादातर पश्चिमी देशों का मानना है कि बातचीत की बात करके तेहरान कुछ समय चाहता है। ईरानी राष्ट्रपति महमूद अहमदीनेजाद ने अपने परमाणु रियक्टर में न्यूक्लियर ईधन रॉड डालने के बाद अमेरिका औऱ पश्चिमी देशों पर परमाणु तकनीक पर एकाधिकार जमाने का आरोप लगाया था। गौरतलब है कि अमेरिका और यूरोपिय देश ईरान के परमाणु कार्यक्रम का विरोध कर रहे हैं। अहमदीनेजाद ने अमेरिका औऱ पश्चिमी देशों को घमंडी ताकतें बताते हुए उन्हें सबक सिखाने की बात कही थी। राष्ट्र के नाम अपने संबोधन में ईरानी राष्ट्रपति ने कहा कि परमाणू का मतलब सिर्फ बम ही नहीं होता है। ईरान अपनी उर्जा ज़रुरतों को पूरा करने के लिए परमाणू कार्यक्रम पर आगे बढ़ रहा है औऱ उसे अब रोका नहीं जा सकता है।

कोमायागुआ:होंडुरास की एक जेल में भीषण आग लगने से 350 से अधिक कैदियों की मौत हो गई।सूत्रों के मुताबिक मरने वाले कैदियों की संख्या में और वृद्धि हो सकती है। बचाव दलों के कर्मचारियों के अनुसार जेल की कोठरियों में बंदियों के जले हुए शव मिल रहे हैं।जीवित बचे व्यतियो के अनुसार, बुधवार को आग लगने के कारण उठे धुएं और लपटों की वजह से कैदियों का दम घुटने लगा और वे मदद के लिए चिल्लाने लगे। कुछ कैदियों की बेड़ियां कोठरियों की सलाखों से बंधी होने की वजह से वह भाग भी नहीं सके। जेल में लगी इस आग को दशक की सर्वाधिक भीषण घटनाओं में से एक माना जा रहा है।सुरक्षा मंत्री पोम्पेयो बोनिला ने कहा 'अनुमान है कि 350 से अधिक कैदी मरे हैं। हम यह संख्या अधिक होने से इंकार नहीं कर सकते। फिलहाल जाच की जा रही है। आग बुधवार को अंतरराष्ट्रीय समयानुसार चार बज कर 50 मिनट के आसपास लगी और इस पर काबू पाने में तीन घटे से भी अधिक समय लगा। अधिकारियों का कहना है कि आग लगने का कारण स्पष्ट नहीं है। पहले उन्होंने कहा कि आग शॉर्ट सर्किट की वजह से लगी। लेकिन बाद में उन्होंने आशका जताई कि शायद कुछ कैदियों ने जानबूझकर आग लगाई होगी।
